Ask, Seek, Knock

The world teaches us that in order to believe in something we must first see it to believe it. Faith is not usually something that our society talks about or enforces. The more we get to know God the more we realize the importance and the power that faith can have. In Hebrews 11:1, God tells us the opposite of what the world teaches. The Bible teaches that we have to first believe and be confident (not to lose hope) that he is able to do the impossible.
As adults I believe that we can learn so much from young children who literally depend on their parents for everything. When a mom has to go run an errand with the toddler in the car, the child does not know all of the details to where they are going but they trust mom that they are safe and protected. This is exactly how we should be, unfortunately the older we get the more we want to depend on our own understanding. We have to pause and remind ourselves that God sees the whole picture and we only see pieces of it. Trust is easily said than done and God wants us to trust Him completely with our whole life. God tests us in areas that we have not trusted Him all the way and it's a way of making our faith grow.
No matter what your situation is or what season you are in, trust that you can always run towards God. If you ask you will receive and God is closer to you than you think Matthew 7:7-8. Come as you are!
