Rejoice

Philippians 4:4-7

Throughout the year we have seasons of rain, heat, cold, etc. and in our life journey it is the same thing. Some days you may feel like you can reach the stars and do just about anything, other days the day seems to drag and you may feel like you cannot get much done. It is quite frustrating to try to stay positive and have a real smile in your face when life gets complicated.

There is not a day that goes by where I do not tell God to help me because I have realized that we are humans with limitations and only God can do the impossible. In your daily walk with God I want to encourage you to stay focused in God and to rejoice in Him for who he is. The word rejoice is associated with joy, smiles, and laughter which is the opposite of stress and anxiety. The truth is that it is challenging to not feel stressful or anxious because we are full of emotions. In Philippians 4:4-5 God is telling us to enjoy His company and to simply enjoy his presence. It does not mean to pretend that nothing bad is going on but to give it ALL to God. Just like in any relationship that grows, you get to a point where you can trust someone to help you in a life circumstance and you know that they will keep their word. It is the same thing with God, you can go to Him as you are and be transparent. There is no need to try to impress God because He sees your heart. Practice to feel free to express yourself to God such as what you are currently facing, your fears, doubts, and even the things that makes you happy. All of that matters to God! Philippians 4:6.

It is amazing to know and feel God's love, especially when there is a challenge that you are facing. He is faithful and he gives us peace when we are going through the storm Philippians 4:7. Do not be afraid or get anxious, God is in control! Whenever you get the negative thoughts and they seem to want to get louder, speak God's word in your life. Hold on to it, believe it, and know that God is working.
